The Senior List: A website where you can find and read consumer reviews for senior services in your area.
Caregiver Connection: A unique caregiver registry.... clients hire and control terms directly with their caregivers and pay Caregiver Connection a separate referral fee.
Care.com An online service where you can post jobs and also preview and run background checks on the profiles of caregivers who are looking for work in your area.
Community Resources:
Store to Door: A non-profit agency that facilitates independent living for Portland area seniors and people with disabilities by providing a low-cost, personalized grocery shopping and delivery service.
Loaves and Fishes: A nonprofit, secular organization that provides hot, nutritious meals to seniors 60 years and older.
In-Home Medical Services in Portland:
Housecall Providers: A non-profit organization that provides home visits from doctors and nurse practitioners to homebound patient.
Sunset Foot Clinic: Podiatrist for in-home consultation and treatment. Foot care for the homebound at reasonable rates and can also bill Medicare or insurance.
Safety and Security:
Check on U: A service that provides telephonic reassurance and medication reminders.
Lifeline: The Lifeline Personal Help Button connects you to a trained Personal Response Associate who can send help quickly - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Shifting Gears in Later Years: Oregon's Safe Mobliity Initiative is a statewide campaign to increase awareness about Oregon's comprehensive policy for licensing mature drivers. A good resource if you have concerns about one's driving ability.
